Physician Bios:

Dr. Salesh Budhoo

Dr. Salesh Budhoo qualified as an MD from the medical university of South Africa in 1999. He initially planned to specialize in obstetrics and gynaecology and completed a diploma in obstetrics in 2002. He relocated to Canada in November 2002 and worked as an ER and family physician in the burin peninsula, Newfoundland.

He took up a position as a family physician, hospitalist, ER physician and GP obstetrician in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in 2004. He was an active member of staff at Yarmouth regional hospital and held positions as a treasurer and Vice President of the medical staff association. He was the family physician advisor for the regional stroke care programme in south west Nova Scotia.

Due to his avid interest and knowledge in the IT field, he was appointed as a physician peer leader for the Nova. Scotia PHIM programme (government funded EMR programme).

In 2007, he embarked into the world of aesthetic medicine and co-founded Forever Young Medical Institute, a successful medical spa in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

He received his training in medical aesthetics in 2007 and has since continued to hone and update his aesthetic skills, especially in the use of injectable agents. He relocated to Ontario in 2010 and has since been practising family and aesthetic medicine in Mississauga.

As a physician who has always had a passion for surgery, aesthetic medicine was an obvious path in his career.

Adhering to strict ethical principles, Dr. Budhoo aims to provide his patients with safe and appropriate treatments.

 

Dr Nirvashni Rughubir

Dr. Nirvashni Rughubir received her medical degree from the university of natal in 1999 and placed in the top ten of her graduating class. She received the Donald Luwazi price in orthopedics in her final year of medicine for receiving the highest marks.

She earned her diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology in 2002 and later that year relocated to Canada with her husband Dr. Salesh Budhoo.

She worked as an ER and family physician in the burin peninsula, Newfoundland for a 2 year period before accepting a position as a family physician, hospitalist, ER physician and GP obstetrician in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in 2004. She was an active member of the Yarmouth regional hospital and sat on the physician credentials committee. She held the post of medical director at tidal view manor nursing home. Dr. Rughubir received her training in aesthetic medicine in 2007.

Upon moving to Ontario, she now runs a successful and established family practice in Lorne Park, Mississauga.
